Food was amazing, we split some appetizers like the arancini, burrata and sprouts. I love coming here. Gwen was our server tonight for my friend's birthday dinner and she was so patient with us and just went above and beyond to give us amazing service. She really made the night memorable for us. I love the vibe here, the music is great and it was surprisingly packed for a Tuesday night dinner! She deserves credit for her outstanding service. Thank you again Gwen!

Super fun ambiance, excellent professional service without being stuffy and delicious Italian food with a slight original SoCal twist. Have been here twice and love the crispy artichoke hearts (their twist on Carciofi alla Giudia) and Spaghetti Nero (which is their twist on Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia) which was delicious and slightly spicy. Portions were filling and large so you can definitely share. Great place for date night - the vibe is young, hip and carefree. Reservations definitely recommended as it is very popular and gets booked up quickly.

Osteria La Buca has the best pasta in LA. Actually...I couldn't even find pasta this good in Rome. 10000000/10. Try the bucatini carbonara and you wont regret it. In fact, you will crave this pasta for the rest of your life, the pancetta is out of this world. So... if the chef ever reads this, please, please... add an amatriciana to the menu. The service is fantastic, and the ambiance is also a 10, especially on a busy night.

Checked out this spot for some delicious pasta ! Defs will be back for the pasta noodles for at home pasta night ! Spaghetti Pomodoro - Perfection ! the pasta had the perfect chewiness. The tomato sauce was so fresh and the added basil was the perfect garnish ! Octopus - Delicious ! it was paired perfectly with the risotto and the risotto had a nice crisp to it Short Rib Ravioli - Okay. It wasn't bad, but it was quite heavy, very very cheesy and creamy. Tiramisu - Fluffy ! The coffee flavor wasn't too intense, it had the right amount of kick. The cream was soft and melted in your mouth !

Came here with the BF on a Friday evening for dinner recently. I read from other reviews that it was loud inside, so I requested outdoor seating. Note that the outdoor seating is in front of the restaurant, right next to Ventura Boulevard so it got loud anyway from all of the street noise. We ordered the brussels sprouts to start, which was interesting with the poached egg on top. I think it would have been fine without it. Maybe they were trying to go for a carbonara-esque brussels sprouts. For mains we shared the short rib ravioli and the pappardelle bolognese. Both were good but not amazing. The pasta was perfectly cooked al-dente, and the menu says all of their pastas are made in-house. Service was standard, nothing that stands out to me. I think if I go back I would try the indoor seating and one of their pizzas.

It's fair to say that Ventura Blvd. Osteria outpost is a strong competitor to the 90210 Italian options you might be craving on a Saturday night. Watch Ventura crazies go by from an outside table or grab a stool inside the narrow, artsy, paraphernalia-filled bar. Neapolitan-style pizzas and inventive pastas are order of the day for dinner, or stop by for a late-night tiramisu and espresso kick. The pork meatballs were an especially unique treat, cooked to perfection The menu sings to the tune of the seasons and shows off the finest ingredients. Thinking of the Burrata made with the freshest fruits plucked from a local farmers market. Stephen and Janna provided an unstinting commitment to hospitality excellence, which worthy of a tip equaling the bill's total. We'll definitely be back to explore more.

Usually we have done take pizza take-outs from this restaurant, this time we decided to dine in to try out some of the other menu options. We did have reservations just as they open for dinner service, it looked like it was going to be a slow day but within 15-20min the place was packed, so Reservations are highly recommended. This is somewhat of a casual/welcoming restaurant, but the food is above and beyond casual!

The decor is creative and fun with old school glittered motorcycle helmets. The host and bartender were attentive and engaged; what's more they helped the servers out when they have down time which is nice to see. There is a finisher/ expediter who facilitates the dishes that come off the line and keeps things orderly, efficient and tidy. Well run from an organizational and management standpoint. Now to the food which almost reached ethereal but lacked a few small details. 1) The bread was warm, toasted and herbaceous and would have been fantastic with some oil and balsamic which was absent. 2) the chopped salad was complex and robust but was sans acidity - again a little balsamic or perhaps a citrus note. 3) the artichokes - hot, crispy, tart. Needed a touch of sweetness to balance the tartness and would have been 5/5. 4) sopressata pizza - excellent, no comments. 5) gnocchi w ricotta - creamy, luscious. A toasted piece of the bread on the side would be nice. Overall, almost a fantastic meal with just a few minor tweaks.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I was scared because there was no one in the restaurant and it was a Saturday afternoon... I had a last minute wedding venue appointment next door and we ended up going earlier than our reservation time and seated no problem. We told the waiter we were in a bit of a hurry and we got out right on time even with ordering an appetizer and 4 entrees! The ricotta appetizer was so delicious. The Bolognese was by far the best pasta, all was delicious but that was a standout I only wish I ordered it myself!

Everything about this place was amazing! We made reservations for a party of 3. We arrived on a Monday at 5:30 pm. It was quiet and not a lot of people at all.... Most of the tables were empty. At about 6:30 pm it started getting packed. Our server was outstanding, Thank you Amanda!! :) She went over the entire menu with us and recommended some of her favorite dishes and described them all so well! I wanted to try everything! We ordered the Branzino, short rib ravioli, house made ricotta, artichoke and crispy Brussel sprouts. EVERYTHING was delicious! I know I will be back to visit soon and try some other menu items. There was ample amount of street parking when we arrived at 5:30, but that quickly changed after 6pm. They do have valet parking in the front.
